The unhurried pace of Sauris
Here, time still moves at its own pace. It moves along the paths that lead into the woods and across the high pastures, where the sky seems closer. It lives in the wildflowers that change with the seasons, and in the snow that once meant isolation: entire weeks spent here together, learning patience and respect for a nature that is beautiful, but not always easy.

Garnì Plueme is a 3-star hotel, but before that, it is a true mountain home: a restored wooden hayloft in the historic centre of Sauris di Sotto.
You will be welcomed by the Schneider’s family, with the genuine, down-to-earth warmth that belongs to this valley. No special effects are needed here: you simply arrive, take a breath, and at once feel that something has changed. The wood speaks, the stillness speaks, the clean air speaks. And often, so does the desire to stay a little longer than planned.

There are 10 rooms, intimate and carefully curated, furnished in local style. Each one is named after a flower from the area: a small detail, yet full of meaning, like a gentle way of saying “welcome” without too many words.

Sauris
Sauris is many things at once, and that is precisely its beauty: it never needs to choose just one. It is a Perla Alpina, a Borgo Autentico, and the highest municipality in Friuli. It is sustainable tourism, nature and freedom (also for children).
But it is also wood craftsmanship, fabrics and rugs from the local weaving tradition, traditional masks and village rituals that keep the sense of community alive.
